- Analog A very popular, free tool. Includes full C source code. Pre-built executables are available for Windows and Mac; you'll have to compile it on other platforms (should be an easy compile if you know what you're doing). Very fast.
- LogScribe - Web Access Logging PERL CGI that enables a user to log detailed accesses to his/her web pages then outputs a clear and concise graphical statistical description of such accesses. This program is very easy to setup and run if a user has CGI-BIN permission. Free, not updated since 1996
- WUM: A Web Utilization Miner WUM is a sequence miner. Its primary purpose is to analyze the navigational behaviour of users in a web site, but it is appropriate for sequential pattern discovery in any type of log. It discovers patterns comprised of not necessarily adjacent events and satisfying user-specific criteria.
- Netchart - free log file analyzer A free open source WebServer logfile analyzer. Stores aggregations into a custom database for quick re-reporting. Rough around edges, shows promise. Currently only for Windows95,98,NT.
- radiusContext a RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial In User Services) accounting log analysis package.
- Relax Free analyzer for referrers. Written in PERL, this program recognizes many search engines (current list at the site) and organizes popular keywords used to get to your site. GPL.
- Webtrax help Webtrax is a log file analysis program for NCSA web server logs. It works best on logs that include the "referrer" and "browser" info, such as the "NCSA Combined Format." Webtrax reads a web server's log file and produces up to twenty different graphical and tabular reports of hits, and the activities of individual site visitors, including what pages they viewed and for how long. Some nice pie charts.
- Dailystats Analyzes the referer log, detects and evaluates gateways, identifies keywords, and breaks down accesses per document and per referring domain. Written in Perl. [Open Source, GPL]

- http-analyze - Log analyzer for web servers log analyzer for web servers. It creates a comprehensive statistics report in two-dimensional (tabular) and three-dimensional (VRML) format.
- AWStats Similar to Webalizer in some ways, but clever use of graphics and icons with good browser and robot lookup tables. Also, one of the few to read all Apache and IIS v5+ logs. Shows the usual web statistics: visitors, pages, hits, rush hours, search engines, keywords, robots, and broken links. Works with IIS or Apache using a Perl script, GNU GPL
- OpenWebScope logfile analyzer, web statistics, website visitor analysis, for Win98/95/NT. Free.
- eXTReMe Tracking Free and comprehensive site stats. Offers even more, including non-public stats and multiple page tracking.
- NedStat Counter service. Similar to Statmarket. Very popular in Europe, supports multiple languages. Tracks the usual (PVs, referrals, useragents, etc.)Free for non-commercial users, pay for commercial.

- BigBrother Stats A set of CGI programs written in C, creating website statistics. Released under the GNU General Public License. It makes use of the Apache web-server and optionally its server side includes (SSI's).
- W3Perl Setiware log analyzer in Perl. Provides the basic stats, ISP ready, good admin docs and pre-formatted html pages. Very responsive author.
- warftpdloganalyzer warftpdloganalyzer is a small program to analyze log files made by WarFTPD and make nice html pages of stats.

- Surfstats Log Analyzer for Web site activity analyzing Developers of log file analysis programs with FTP, DNS lookup, scheduler, file viewer, theme editor, language editor and filter control tools.
- Realtracker Website Statistics (real time) A free tracking tool for homepages providing instant, reliable statistics about your visitors. Can also be configured to allow your visitors to leave their opinions regarding the design and content of your web site. Many exclusive features found no where else. Based out of Amsterdam, recently free for commercial use. Interesting attempt at proxy IP tracking. No sample reports display.
- weblog_parse - extract fields from a web log file Not a log analysis package by itself, rather this is a tool for building such packages. It's extremely fast.
- Active LogView Active LogView is a freeware (but non open-source) log analysis program which runs directly on the server (meaning no need to dl log files). Handles MS IIS log files at 100 Megabytes per minute. No documentation to speak of. It includes total requests, unique visits, advanced referrers list, hourly summary and more. Report requires Pan-European text download for IE5. Active LogView is small and uses very little resources.

- WebLog Perl script, keeps track of activity by month, week, day and hour, to monitor total hits, bytes transferred, page views, and most popular pages. Reads NCSA common or combined log files, as well as Microsoft extended format log files. [Open Source, no redistribution]
- wwwstat The original perl based log analyzer, under "artistic license". Not updated since 1996, but a good starting point
- Report Magic for Analog Report Magic for Analog. Really nice reformatter for Analog output. Report Magic's results include tabulated data and graphs for many reports. Fonts, colors, and other presentation issues are entirely controlled by a settings file for full customization. Product appears to be GNU, but company sells support, service, customization.
