- Integrated Public Use Microdata Series (IPUMS) - US Census data 1850-1990 The IPUMS project at the University of Minnesota provides data samples from the decennial U.S. census. Data is coded in a consistent manner across each of the 25 available census years. Visitors to the site may download census samples (available in a variety of sample sizes). Registered users (registration is free) may use an online extract program to create a subsample containing specific variables or observations.
