- American Association of Cereal Chemists The AACC is an international organization of cereal science and other professionals studying the chemistry of cereal grains and their products or working in related fields. It publishes the journals Cereal Chemistry and Cereal Foods World as well as books on cereal and food science.

- ICC Working Group: Varietal Identification The objectives of the group are to provide efficient methods for the identification of varieties of food grains through the development and standardisation of suitable methods.
- The International Association for Cereal Science and Technology (ICC) An independent, internationally recognized organisation of experts. The association has country and cooperate membership, but no individual members.
- ICC Study Group: Single Kernel Technology The group should bring together and standardize methods for single kernel measurements. A list of single kernel measurements would include: weight, dimensions (image analysis), moisture, hardness, analytical (NIR/NIT) and end-use quality.

- Federal Centre for Cereal, Potato and Lipid Research Advises the German Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry in administration and (national and EU) legislation concerns. Its research activities concentrate on cereal, legume and potato processing and on lipids.

- ICC Study Group: Image Analyses - Kernel Analyses Image analysis applied to whole grain quality assessments.
- BRI Australia Limited - Bread Research Institute of Australia An independent organisation engaged in research, training and the provision of services for the grains, flour milling, grains processing and baking industries. Involved in major research projects both domestic and international.
- Nordic Gene Bank - the Cereal Working group The Cereal collections comprises about 4 000 accessions in the ordinary collection, whereas the different special collections have more than 15 000 samples. The Nordic Wheat database is directly searchable from the internet.
