- Archdiocese of Trichur The most ancient diocese of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church of Kerala. First Archbishop, Mar Joseph Kundukulam, in 1995.
- Diocese of Kottayam Knanaya Catholics is a sub-group of Syro-Malabar Church with their own identity and customs. The Pope has created a separate diocese for them, but under the overall Syro-Malabar Congregation. Auxillary bishop is based at Kannur to take care of the community in North Kerala.
