- Talking With Your Children About Gender Identity Issues Young children in particular may have some difficulty grasping gender and sexual concepts, thus disclosing with moderation is best. One age-relevant option is beginning easy-to-understand disclosure when children begin asking gender-related or 'personal' questions. 'Daddy, why are you wearing Mommy's lipstick and earrings when other Daddies don't,' is a pretty obvious indication the child is curious about your behavior.
- Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere (COLAGE) A support and advocacy organization for daughters and sons of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender parents. Very transinclusive!
- Transgendered Parent Forum The point of this club is for transgendered parents to come together, share ideas specific to dealing with gender identity issues, and discuss the special needs of children of TG parents - how to keep them healthy, stable, and most of all, great kids!
- PFT/TGS Online Helpline Write to us privately and we will answer or forward your question to an appropriate helpline volunteer or serve as an intermediary to the list. But the private helpline is second best to joining the list. In cyberspace as on earth, chapter helplines are good, but meetings are much better.
- Kids with Transgender Parents The issues affecting kids with gay, lesbian, bi, and transgender parents, stem from our parents not conforming to "normal" gender roles. We all have issues about "coming out", our own identity, school-based harassment, and so on. As with kids with bisexual parents, the issues are too similar to ignore. We won't change our name (we like the acronym!), but our mission includes transgender families.
- My Dad Just Said An interview with a kid with a transgender parent, from the COLAGE newsletter.
