• Zane Grey 50 Mile Endurance Run One tough 50 miler through the Tonto National Forest in Arizona. Scheduled for April 29, 2000, maxing at 50 "qualified" entrants. "Application and Admission of Insanity" is available on the site.
  
• Plain 100 Miler Course consists of Forest Service trails and roads in the Cascade mountains in the Lake Wenatchee, Entiat, and Chelan Ranger Districts. All remote. No Aid Stations. No pacers. Water from streams only so bring your own filter. Crew access at 55 miles only. Drop bags at 55 miles only. 'Nuff said.
  
• Bendistillery 50km Ultramarathon, Bike & Tie and Marathon Relay 50km trail running race with bike & tie and marathon relay - August 20, 2000 - Bend, Oregon. Course is on soft forest roads and trails. A total elevation drop of approximately 2500 feet with the last 10 miles dropping only about 500 feet. Aid provided five times along the course.
  
• Edmund Fitzgerald 100K Road Race Features annual road course event held in Duluth, MN. Individual participants and teams are welcome. Go to the Event Manual for the best information.
  
• Arkansas Traveller 100 The event will be held at Lake Sylvia Recreation Area, approximately 35 miles west of Little Rock, on October 7, 2000.
  
• Sunmart Texas Trail Ultra Run - 50 Mile and 50K Sunmart Texas Trail, largest ultra trail run in the US, is held at Huntsville State Park in TX each December. Featuring the U.S.A.T.&F. Masters Championships .
  
• Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run "States" is the oldest and largest 100-mile trail run in the U.S. Course data, training run info, qualitfying information, and preparation tips are included. Next event will be held June 24-25, 2000.
  
• Leona Divide 50 Mile Run The run winds through the mountains in the Angeles National forest on mostly trails and dirt roads. Proceeds benefit the Live Again Recovery Home. Includes photos, map, results, entry form, and sponsors.
  
• Wasatch Front 100 Mile Endurance Run This race is held the first weekend after Labor Day, stretching from Layton, Utah to Sundance, Utah, and covers some of the most beautiful scenery the Wasatch Mountains have to offer. The site has entry and course information, a photo gallery, trail maps, and results from prior years' races. Wasatch is one of the Ultra Grand Slam events.
  
• Frontrunners Canadian National Ultramarathon Championships - 13th Annual Previously known as the Harriers Elk/Beaver Ultra, the event features 100K, 50K, 50 Mile, 25 Mile Divisions Plus 10K People's Walk, to be held May 6, 2000 in Victoria, B.C.
  
• Rio Del Lago 100 Miler New for 2000, in the Granite Bay (Sacramento, CA)/American River area. Norm Klein, former Western States 100 RD, is RD. Relay teams are permitted. September 16-17, 2000.
  
• The Grasslands Run - 50, 25 and 10 Milers To be held on March 25, 2000 at LBJ National Grasslands Decatur, Texas. Site holds information on entries and course descriptions.
  
• The Garden State 50K/50 Mile Runs Sunday, September 17, at Manasquan Reservoir, Monmouth County, New Jersey. Full support, three deep awards.
  
• Angeles Crest 100 mile Endurance Run From Wrightwood to Pasadena in Southern California, the course includes 92 miles of trails and 6 miles of dirt road in the Angeles National Forest including portions of the Pacific Crest Trail, and 2 miles of paved road. Next event September 30 - October 1, 2000.
  
• Mohican Trail 100 Mile Run The Mohican 100 is a 100 mile footrace on a course consisting of foot trails and roads through the scenic lands of the Mohican State Park, the Mohican-Memorial State Forest and beautiful farmlands in Central Ohio. The races total climb is just over 11,000 feet. Next race is June 17-18, 2000.
  
• Mongolia Sunrise to Sunset '00 Billed as Asia's first ultra, the 100km ultramarathon will take place for the second time on 6 July 2000 on the shores of Lake Hovsgol a pristine lake in Hovsgol National Park bordering Siberia in northern Mongolia.
  
• Ohlone Wilderness 50K Trail Run Sponsored by the Bay Area Ultrarunners. This is a point-to-point run on a tough course on trails and fire roads. Next race will be held on May 21, 2000.
  
• Leona Divide Fifty Mile Ultramarathon - Info, Entry Form, etc. Leona Divide Fifty Mile Run April 14, 2000 benefits the Live Again Recovery Home of Lake Hughes, CA.
  
• Strides for Life Annual 100-Mile Run Against Cancer. The goal of the race and a group picture.
  
• Superior Trail 100 Ultra Marathon A 100 Mile Ultra marathon along the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior during the coloring of the leaves run along the Superior Trail. Next event is on September 9, 2000.
  
• White River 50 Annual 50 mile trail run in the shadow of Mount Rainier. Host of the U.S. championship. Site includes course map and elevation profile, entry forms, and previous year's results.
  
• Elkhorn Endurance Runs - 100K and 50K July 15, 2000, Mt City Grill and Saloon, Montana City, MT. Benefits Shriners Crippled Children's Hospitals. Also running camps.
  
• Vermont 100 Endurance Run The Vermont 100 Mile Endurance Run is one of the original 100 mile runs in the USA. Each year, over 200 runners attempt to finish this hilly race under the 30 hour cutoff point, and a well-trained few finish in under 24 hours. The site offers entry and course information, as well as prior years' results. Vermont 100 is part of the Grand Slam of ultra-running, not to be missed.
  
• The HUFF 50K Trail Run One of North America's largest ultramarathons. Held on the gently rolling and wooded Kekionga Trail at the Huntington, Indiana Reservoir.
  
• Haliburton Forest 100 Miler Run through the Haliburton Forest, Ontario, Canada. Also 50 mile and 50 K events. Next race is on September 2, 2000.
  
• Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run A challenging race with a 48 hour limit. The course covers a big loop through the San Juan Mountains of beautiful southwest Colorado: 101.7 miles, 33,000' total elevation gain, 11,186' average elevation. This year's race is July 7-9, 2000.
  
• McDonald Forest 50K UltraMarathon Corvallis, Oregon is home to this event, which features a 6400 foot elevation gain over single track trails and logging roads in the McDonald Forest. Race date is April 29, 2000. Information and entry forms are available.
  
• Umstead 100 Endurance Run This race takes place at Umstead State Park, near Raleigh and Cary, North Carolina on April 8, 2000.
  
• Old Dominion 100 Miller Unofficial (for now) Home of the OD 100 Mile One Day Endurance Run. The 2000 Old Dominion is a measured loop trail through the Massanutten Mountains, Shenandoah River Valley and Fort Valley, Virginia with 14 significant climbs, 14,000 feet of gain. Race date is June 3-4, 2000.
  
• Massanutten Mountain Trails 100 Mile Run The MMT is run on the trails of the Massanutten Mountain in the George Washington National Forest. It is tough and demanding, but has a liberal 36 hour time limit. Next event is on May 13-14, 2000.
  
• Leadville Trail 100 In Leadville, Colorado: 50 miles out and back in the midst of the breathtaking Colorado Rockies. Lowest point 9,200 feet. Highest point, Hope Pass 12,600 feet. Majority is on forest trail with some mountain roads. Next race August 19, 2000.
  
• GNC Ultra Marathon North Park, Pittsburgh, PA is the site of the GNC 100K/50 Mile/50K Run. The event is a fund raiser for cystic fibrosis research.
